The 1940s Weekend ‘Life on the Holme Front’ has been running since 2007 and the event gets better every year. This is a fantastic weekend for the whole family where you can learn what village life was like during WWII. The whole village gets involved and we at Holmewood Hall open our doors for the weekend providing space for displays and a wartime tearoom. Holmewood Hall was used by the United States Office of Strategic Services (OSS) for packing airborne containers to be parachuted into occupied Europe.
